70s Inspired Shades! Revisit the disco decade with Victory Colours.
As a child of the seventies, I can assure you there is much to love – and much to covet today about 1970s interiors.
The 70s was an optimistic decade, an era dedicated to indulging in stylish comfort at home. Shag rugs, designer swish seating, bold colours, wallpaper and lashings of houseplants. These are just a few of the iconic elements of 70s inspired interiors.
Many of the elements of the disco era’s interior design are still hugely relevant today. Strong earthy tones were the hallmark of the 70s. Any mood-board or home magazine from the era will confirm. I predict we’re going to see bold colours such our orange, yellow, earthy brown and green hues in demand as 2022 progresses.
Interior design in the 70s had a really confident feel. Homeowners embraced colours and they were not afraid of teaming contrasting shades in big spaces. Take a look at some of our bold hues from our eco-friendly paint collection such as Urban Fox or Strangely-Brown to make a statement. If you are feeling adventurous then colours such as Antique Gold or Terrapotta will really transport you back to that daring 70s interior.
